zusammen mit seinem Vater, einem leidenschaftlichen Hobbykoch am Herd, um selbst geangelte Fische zuzubereiten. Mit 17 Jahren bekam er dann die einmalige Chance, bei Sternekoch Heinz Winkler in der Residenz in Aschau am Chiemsee eine Kochlehre zu beginnen. Das Restaurant nannte zu dieser Zeit drei Michelin Sterne sein eigen und man kann ohne \u00dcberteibung sagen, dass Valentin hier seine Sporen verdient hat.<br \/>\nNach diesen Lehrjahren verschlug es Valentin nach Ettlingen, in das von Frank Oehler gef\u00fchrte Restaurant Erbprinz. Hier kochte man jung, wild und innovativ und verband die franz\u00f6sische Haute Cuisine mit frischen, neuen Ideen.
